The story so far
We’ve come a long way as a team. First and foremost, we are good friends and we knew each other well before deciding to embark on this adventure together. We met during our postgraduate course in audiovisual translation and from the very beginning it was evident that we shared the same mindset and passion for languages.
The rest came together very naturally, just like the pieces of a puzzle. When we finally got our degree, we agreed it would be a great idea to support one another as we made our entrance into the world of professional translation.
Founded under the name RGB Language Services, we have worked hard to stand out in a fresh and original way and we have improved our “teamwork recipe” so much that we felt the need for a more fitting name.
That’s when we came up with the idea of Langwich. Just like a sandwich, in which the blend of various ingredients creates its unique taste, we bring to your table key skills and a common approach that perfectly fit together to cater to your needs.
Our network
Who said that translation is solitary work and translators are lone wolves? Here at Langwich, we see it differently. That’s why we decided to join forces and create a team in the first place. It’s also why we love networking with fellow translators from all over the world.
For the Langwich team, our extended network gives us the opportunity to learn from each other, share useful tips and work together.
For you, the biggest advantage of our work philosophy is flexibility: our network is always there to back us up whenever our personal competences are not a perfect fit for your needs. This gives Langwich a unique edge when it comes to finding the ideal solution for every project.
I’ve always loved writing, which is why script and book translations bring out my creative best. On the other hand, I find technical translation just as stimulating, and am fascinated by medical translation.
I work with English (my first and everlasting love), Spanish and French.
My heart could have been born in the UK. I’m a passionate fan of Queen and, in fact, it’s their music that made me fall in love with the English language.
You could say I’m Langwich’s “technician”, since I love translation and computers equally. I specialize in audiovisual translation and localisation and tend to privilege the technical side of both. Whenever translation software is an issue, I’m the go-to guy!
On a personal level, I love electric guitar, basketball and photography. I am also pragmatic, curious, energetic and a bit impulsive; luckily the girls do a great job in balancing this last side of me
I’m the perfectionist of the group. As a lifelong learning enthusiast, I always keep my teammates up to date about the most interesting CPD events all around the world.
When I don’t wear my translator’s hat, I teach English to children through singing, dancing and storytelling to make their learning fun!
A passionate foodie and traveller, I think that one of the pleasures of exploring new countries is to learn about their cultures through their local cuisine. This is why I’m also specialising in translating for the food and wine industry.
